2016 was the fourth record year in a row for SCHNEEBERGER Mineralgusstechnik*. Business in Asia increased by 40 percent and the European production area was expanded. Another record year!
2016 was another record year for SCHNEEBERGER Mineralgusstechnik in succession. Through its existing customers and new projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, electronics and the semiconductor industry, SCHNEEBERGER Mineralgusstechnik continued to consolidate its market position as an established supplier over the past year.

Positive development in both Europe and Asia
With the new facility, the production area in Europe has now increased to 11,000 square meters. This means SCHNEEBERGER Mineralgusstechnik is armed for the future. The positive development in Asia is particularly pleasing. In this area alone, business activity in 2016 was increased by 40 percent. On this basis, SCHNEEBERGER Mineralgusstechnik constantly strives to provide new capacities in order to be able to supply customers in a timely manner.

Ongoing research and development
The most recent achievement by SCHNEEBERGER Mineralgusstechnik, the casting material techcon® - based on ultra high-strength concrete - for prototypes or small batches, has now proven its value and is continuously being further developed. The focus here is on moisture absorption and the shrinkage behavior of the material in order to minimize any undesirable influences in applications for machine tools. In addition, SCHNEEBERGER continues to research and work on improvements with traditional mineral casting.
