SCHNEEBERGER introduced the R linear guideway/cross-roller guideway and ball guideway as the first standardized frictionless guideways in the world. The guideway can be equipped with rollers or balls and is suitable for many applications with medium to high requirements. The efficiency of the RN linear guideway, is improved without changing the installed dimensions thanks to the expanded contact surface between rollers and guideway. The features of the RN linear guideway/cross-roller guideway include three times more load capacity, high rigidity and precision, and the reduced contaminationrisk due to low clearances between the guide rails. The smallest installed dimensions can be implemented with the Type RNG high load-bearing guideway designed with roller bearings. With the RD linear guideway, both the cross-roller guideway and a ball guideway provide space-saving solutions. The N/O linear guideway with needle bearings is designed for use with needle cages. These frictionless guideways and linear guideways equipped with needle cages of Type M/V are suited for high-load applications.
