Position Overview
As an Area Sales Manager at Schneeberger, you will be a key player in boosting sales and showcasing our precision motion and linear technology products. Your main responsibility is to create a sales strategy specific to the local territory, aiming for solid growth while managing and developing various sales channels. Your know-how is crucial in steering the future of precision motion and linear technology solutions, harmonizing local and global resources. Alongside this, your role involves building and nurturing strong client relationships, sharing technical insights, and hitting sales targets in your assigned region. Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand Schneeberger's market share.
  • Strategically identify and engage OEM customers within the designated region, driving targeted efforts to foster sustainable sales growth.
     

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams globally to ensure customer satisfaction and address all issues promptly.
     

Channel Management

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with distribution partners, providing necessary support and resources for successful product promotion, ensuring compliance with company policies and promoting a cohesive partnership.
  • Spearhead the development and oversight of all sales channels within the designated region, strategically aligning support resources to cover the market and facilitate sustainable growth.
     

Technical Expertise

  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers, addressing inquiries and offering solutions based on Schneeberger's product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with European counterparts to leverage collective technical knowledge in solving customer problems.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations showcasing the features and benefits of our solutions.
     

Market Analysis

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  • Conduct market research and trends to identify new business opportunities and contribute to global product development strategies.
     

Reporting and Forecasting

  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, providing insights into market trends and potential growth areas.
  • Collaborate with the North America VP Sales & Marketing to evaluate performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with the global sales team and HQ resources to support & develop global customers.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. 

Experience

  • a. Proven experience in technical sales, with a demonstrated track record of working effectively with OEM customers and indirect channel partners.
  • b. Strong understanding of industrial automation, manufacturing processes, and related applications.

Skills:

  • a. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • b. Ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • c. Ability to analyze data and market trends to develop effective sales strategies
  • d. Proficiency with Microsoft Office & CRM Software is preferred.
  • e. Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • f. Previous experience in managing distributors is desirable.
  • g. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
     

Travel

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region and occasionally internationally.
