| Advantages of customized bearings |
The SCHNEEBERGER manufacturing facility is equipped with state of the art machinery that guarantees customer advantages and the highest flexibility to customized linear bearings. Guideways outside of standard dimensions can be manufactured quickly and easily. Hardened components made of carbon and alloy steel can be manufactured in one piece up to 3000 mm. If required, they can be made corrosion-resistant
for applications in clean rooms or offshore areas. More customer advantages come from the diversity of materials. Inductively hardened guideways up to 6000 mm can be manufactured with steel like C45, Cf53, C60, 42 CRMo4, and 16MnCr5 with a hardness range of 58 to 63 HRc.

| Competence in frictionless bearings and sliding bearings |
Sliding bearings offer significant advantages over frictionless bearings for applications where a high load capacity takes priority over speed (e.g. with heavy machining). The allowable surface pressure of up to 1200 N/mm 2
combined with large contact surfaces results in loads significantly greater than the values from frictionless bearings. Customized bearings from SCHNEEBERGER are the right choice. Complete sliding bearings or the individual components can be supplied for any required cross-section.

| Best choice of technology |
A good compromise for all performance criteria is the modern profiled guideway for linear bearings. However, for some individual disciplines, special bearings are superior. For example, speeds up to 10 m/s can be achieved with recirculating roller elements on hardened surface guideways. The hydrodynamic guideways also deliver excellent features. SCHNEEBERGER will advise you based on many years of experience in selecting the best suited guideway system for your application.

| Low cost assembly |
Fewer components mean lower assembly expense. SCHNEEBERGER achieves this by providing guideways of up to 6 meters in length. So there are relatively few parts to be assembled even with very long traversing axes. Using the longest possible guideways lowers the total cost. All combined, this is good news for your budget.

| Maintenance and repair parts |
Customized bearings are not only of interest for series, but also for single productions. The replacement rails used in maintenance work on the equipment or units can be reliably produced at the same or even better accuracy than the originals.
