New location in the USA for the SCHNEEBERGER Group – close to customers and sustainable production

SCHNEEBERGER is pleased to announce that our next production facility for our industry leading mineral casting technology is planned in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This expansion brings us closer to our customers, enabling faster and more economical delivery of our Mineral Cast machine bases.

The production is scheduled to begin on-site by Q4 2025. This strategic investment aligns with our key long-term objectives:

• Customer Proximity: The new production facility will enable us to respond more quickly to North American customer needs and deliver tailored solutions promptly.
• Market Development: This expansion demonstrates our commitment to the North American market, is a crucial step for market growth, and further progress our corporate strategy "local for local." With production sites already established in Europe and China, the addition of the USA facility will complete our global support of Mineral Cast machine bases.
• Innovation for a Sustainable Future: Combining advanced technology with a focus on sustainability, we provide essential components and solutions all from a single source.

Mineral Cast, also known as polymer concrete, leverages our organizations 20+ years of casting experience to combine quartz aggregate and industrialized epoxy in application specific recipes to produce machines bases with superior technical properties.

This technology is not only energy-efficient but also significantly reduces CO2 emissions versus traditional machine base materials. Compared to the production of cast iron or steel bases, polymer concrete technology saves approximately 1.6 tons of CO2 emissions per ton produced. Further supporting our commitment to sustainability, our Mineral Cast products are fully recyclable, and SCHNEEBERGER ensures certified recycling by taking back these bases to facilitate the process.
