With the MONORAIL AMSABS 4B, SCHNEEBERGER provides an integrated measuring system for absoulte distance measurement for use in automation engineering, mechanical handling technology and machine tool engineering, whereby high force absorption and precise distance measurements are required in small assembly spaces. From a mechanical point of view, the AMSABS 4B is based on the MONORAIL BM roller guide up to a length of 6m. The distance measurement system’s compact housing facilitates the construction of highly compact axes. With the proven advantages of AMS products like

New Interfaces
The AMSABS features an absolute interface for connecting to SSI, SSI+SinCos and all Fanuc controllers. New features include the direct interfaces to the Siemens DRIVE CLiQ®(DRIVE-CLiQ is a protected trade mark of Siemens) communication protocol and to all Mitsubishi controllers.
SCHNEEBERGER developed the AMS 4B integrated magneto-resistive measuring system for the MONORAIL BM ball guideway. In terms of measurement technology, it corresponds to the AMS 3B and offers the same advantages in cost savings, accuracy, and reliability. AMS 4B products are the preferred choice if there is a great demand on the dynamic characteristics of the axes and travel rate.
The integrated AMS distance measuring system from SCHNEEBERGER can be perfectly integrated into MONORAIL guideways – both roller guideways and ball guideways – and ensures exact travel distances with tolerances of ±5 µm/m.
