SCHNEEBERGER expands its portfolio of linear guideway components with the new KCS and KCN high-performance cages, delivering a significant performance boost for precision applications while remaining fully compatible with existing systems.
Designed as direct replacements for the established KBS and KBN standard cages, the new KCS/KCN cages allow machine builders and maintenance teams to upgrade existing RN and RNG linear guideways without modifying the rail or carriage. This one-to-one interchangeability makes performance improvements easier than ever.
The optimized cage design increases the dynamic load rating by up to 25%, depending on the application, while also improving system stiffness for greater precision and reliability. Verified according to ISO 14728, the enhanced design supports demanding applications where accuracy, durability, and high load capacity are essential.
Manufactured from high-performance PEEK, the cages are suitable for cleanroom and vacuum environments, making them ideal for industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, medical technology, machine tools, metrology, and industrial automation. The KCS version, featuring cage control, is particularly suited for high-speed applications with frequent direction changes, while the KCN version provides an efficient solution for applications with simpler motion profiles.
